SMS error for prepaid outroamer in 3G ICR

While testing 3G ICR for prpaid outroamer we are recieving error "RP cause - 38, Network out of order" in wireshark trace. But SMS is getting delivered.We are checking online charging for the same". Can anyone suggest a solution for the same.

I think you can also check the trace at your SMSC, see if "delivery report" is received by SMSC. sms flow for prepaid and postpaid are nearly same except some additional route to IN server for prepaid number.

Thanks a lot for the reply. While sending SMS from pre paid an Invoke IDPSMS trigger will reach IN and IN will reply with Invoke continue SMS. After that SMS gets submitted in SMSC. Can u clarify whether any special trigger for this submission happens from IN to SMSC and vice versa.

SMS error for prepaid outroamer in 3G ICR

Check for Route response from ICR MSC to ICR SMSC and to Home SMSC in own network. Check the logs for Error -38 from SMSC and buffer limitation. This might be also a cause for delivery message failure.
