Browser Problems While Traveling

I am a resently registered newbie so please be kind..and apologise in advance for what will be a lengthy post....

I commute to work daily by train  (1 hr each way) and have always use the time to work.  My employer gave me an edge card to use and I'm having a problem that has stumped our tech support, so  I hope someone can help!!!
When I use the Edge card the connection is flawless. Ok it's not dsl...but some access is better than no access.
I can have a browser window open and all of a sudden , multiple browser windows start to open on their own.  As many as 15.
I have also noticed that when it occurs , it's also when the service is switching from one network or type of connection to the other.
The profile is set for Autoconnect and  Autolaunch for the browser.  I have already tried reseting the connection to manual , then it just doesnt connect.  I have also tried reseting it to manual after I have connected and have one browser window open , however the profile cannot be changed while one is connected.  Remember this is happening as I am traveling on a train at 90 mph.
Any help, suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated , the problem is very distracting and I have lost things I was working on....  HELP!!! ??? ???

Re: Browser Problems While Traveling

I think as u are going at a very high speed, the connection is getting disconnected.. and  while the autoconnect is on
it is getting reconected and this is happening in cycle. As auto launch is there, u are getting multiple windows open...
Thats just what I think based on your description.
I am not an expert on EGDE..
I think the mostly problem is because you are moving, the signal strenths are changing.. and you are getting switched on to
other networks...
otherwise... may be EDGE doesnt support the device moving high speed...
Sorry, otherthan pouring in my thoughts, I couldnt suggest any solution to the problem here...

Hope you will solve your problem soon.

Re: Browser Problems While Traveling

This could be due to the number of handoffs that are occurring. While the train moves along, your service could be getting dropped after being handed over too many times. You connection can only be handed over to different carrier so many times.

This could also be due to any hills that have too many towers too close that can cause this. When the tower that you are registered on executes a Perform measurment, too many adjacent but disperent towers report a stronger signal, causing the BSC to drop you, because it does not know who to hand you off to. Running adjacent to or crossing water (like a lake) on a bridge, or on an elevated track across a valley can cause this.
