Help me about GSM local call flow

Hi,

I am confused with how a call from one network to another network goes locally.?

Let us assume I am using airtel in MG road Bangalore, and you using Vodafone in same MG road Bangalore..,

Then what will be the call flow?.?

Tell me whether the below call flow is correct or not..?

My handset >> Airtel BTS  >> airtel MSC  >> Vodafone MSC >> Vodafone BTS >> Your Handset?.

If above is wrong then wat will be the call flow...?

Is there any single BTS sharing for both airtel and Vodafone??

And i need how sms is flow across two networks...?

Is there any different protocol for sms?

Help me plz?.

Thanks in advance?

GSM local flow

Hi Thaer,

One year later, I would be interested by the same document you sent with the previous post about the GSM flow of an USSD request.

Do you think you could also send me it or something equivalent?

Thank you

The call flow will be like

The call flow will be like this.....................more are less it is true, slight adjust ments.............

ur handset >> BTS(radio path might be urs or with the operator with which airtel is having agrement) >>> Airtel MSC >>> vodafone gateway(to which airtel is having connectivity) >> BSC >> vodafone BTS(radio path might be urs or with the operator with which Vodafone is having agrement)...............my handset.

single bts will not serve for both the operators.........(Airtel 900mhz and for vodafone 1800mhz)
