LOCATION UPDATE FAILING : APPLICATION CONTEXT NOT SUPPORTED ERROR

Anybody who has an idea why the Location update failed with inbound test sim. The error we got from the trace is Application context not supported error and abort message from the Roaming partner.

Can you elaborate more about this issue?

Hi Ozlander, this issue can

Hi Ozlander, this issue can be related to MAP version between HLR and SGSN, pls reference document below...

VERSION CONTROL
The used version for an outgoing dialogue is chosen the following way:
The user may request MAP to use version 1, 2 or 3 to be used for the
dialogue, unless the default MAP version is lower (the default version is
set individually for each Application Context with the MAP parameter
management MML commands). If the default MAP version is lower than
the version requested by the MAP user, the default version will be used.
If an address analysis exists for the destination address, its result will be
used to select the version. In this case both the requested and default
versions will be ignored. As a result of the address analysis the used
version can be 1, 2 or 3. The address analysis may also lead to the value
'denied', in which case the dialogue is not sent at all, or to the value
'default', in which case the default version is used. (The address analyses
are created and modified with the MAP parameter management MML
commands).
When a dialogue initiation is received from the network, the version control
is used in the following way:
If an address analysis for the originating address exists and leads to the
requested version (or to a higher version), the dialogue continues. If the
analysis leads to a lower version, the dialogue is aborted with reason
applicationContextNotSupported, and the lower version is offered. The
address analysis can also lead to value 'denied', in which case the
dialogue is aborted with reason applicationContextNot Supported, or to
value 'default', in which case the default version is checked to determine
whether to continue or abort the dialogue.
If no address analysis exists for the originating address, the default version
is checked to determine whether to continue or abort the dialogue.
