LOCATION UPDATE FAILING For Inbound Roaming Sim : Network Failure error

 Anybody who has an idea why the Location update failed with inbound test sim. The error we got from the trace is network failure. Since our side configurations ok.Can you elaborate more about this issue?

Confirm whether you have correct IMSIGT table configured to map all IMSI for operator you have roaming agreement with, this is the most common cause of loc up failures.

Hi Saranraj, Network failure could be for many reasons, depending on  vendor type of your MSC/VLR. For instance if you using Huaweii, network failure reason could be cause of your MGT - IMSIGT implementation.Things to check.

  • MCC_MNC ==>> CC_NC is correctly implemented - assumming that this network is not live in your network (for traffic), you have to check full translation - whole 15 digit.
  • SCCP_GT (CC_NC) is correct
  • SS7 signalling link is already been established by your STP provider between your network & RP.these are few simple things you can check & see that you can find out your error.if still having issues please send a trace.

does "network failure" came as reply of SAI message or UPD LOC message?

vmp ... Ask the operator that you are roaming with to re_check if they did implement your MGT on their HLRs then revert.
