we are using M3uA layer to MAP layer application. in that we successfully tested the SMS from Map layer to M3uA layer. but we are testing call setup form MAP to M3UA layer. so, any one knows how to setup a call from MAP to M3UA layer. send me the related document / guide us.

    Thanking u,

For making and receiving calls you need to use ISUP. ISUP is used for call control.
MAP is used for Roaming operations/SMS/USSD etc related operations.

    Thank you for replay,

For making and receive call, we can use ISUP protocol but you can imagine if the Fixed line subscriber called to mobile number then the called party number message should be generate 1stly in MAP then its affect to ISUP layer as per my thinking. then the MAP search the called number Location area , etc, so, we need some document related to setup a location register and further process.

could you arrange for the MAP --- > TCAP---> SCCP --> ISUP document.
    Ravi.

If you have a SS7 probe on both the MAP and ISUP links, with a global Call trace functionality, this should assist.

My doubt has 1. The call comes from with in the central office example :  consider a exchange office 1 having 32 phones. the call comes from any one of the phone and goes to another phone of same exchange. how the MAP service works. can you give me a call flow regarding this issues..
in the exchange having MSC, VLR and HLR equipements ...

    Thnx
