    hi,

    I would like to know some information about USSD service.To be specific i want to know the format of the data that arrives at the USSD gateway.

    The data will be 7-bit encoded format as in text SMS.
    Refer to this spec: 3G TS 23.038 (Alphabets and language-specific information)

    i would like to have an insight into the functionality of the USSD gateway. And i also want to know the format of the gateway's response to a request.

    Hi
    USSD GW recieves the req frm MSC ,it finds the service key in the Reqmsg and passes MSISIDN and other required details ( such as voucher PIN for Voucher recharge) to IN.
    IN ll do all the  process and sends the response to GW then GW sends  the response back to MSC.

    thank u for the reply but i would like to make my question clear..

    We are planning to develop a USSD gateway for which i need to know the format in which i am supposed send  response to a request.. please let me know me about other issues that are to be handled for developing the getway..
