Hi friends!

Urgent question. Scenario is following:

1. CAMEL originated call for non-existent B party
2. MSC answers with O_ANSWER playing auto-speech about B party non-reachable

There should be some extension in ERB which can be used to decide if charging should be applied or not.

For some reasons, we cant take tcpdump - we only can see IDP and RRBSCM messages. Why? Any ideas?

We got some pcap, but it seems ERB or some other messages like releaseCall are same against usual B party answer.

Question comes more smooth: where to check if o_answer is received on auto-speech trigger from MSC in CAMEL (like: "the subscriber cannot be reached at the moment")?

Does someone know, friends????

i think charging is checked in ac (apply charging) and acr(apply charging report) , wen annoucement plays it has no charge on it so in ACR charging will not happen moreover in ERB nothing regarding charging is concern

This seems to be correct as we got some pcap traces from MSC by sending test AC. Instead of sending release call we sent continue after o_disconnect and got ACR which indicated that no units were consumed by this call.
I guess same things are applicable for CAP and INAP.

One more thing I would like to ask. I found some (probaly "out of balance") announcements could be played if to set special release cause reason. This is only about documents which say that release cause has to be same as ISUP one (4 = play special tone). I am not sure if this is a platform specific, but could it be that it is possible to trigger such announcement in practice and how to tell MSC (IVR) which one to play? i.e. send RC with cause = 4, to play special tone...but which one? This is not applicable to mid-call tones for sure.

When MSC want to play these kind of announcements, no answer event is armed, if subscriber is busy or no reachable, only busy event is armed. MSC used ISUP ACM message for announcememnt not answer message. Bothway connection indicator is off in this case, therefore in normal scenario charging wont happen.
