Send Routing Info: CSI parameter

 Hi,i have to develop new MAPv3 interface SendRoutingInfo in order to get the Global Title of the IN where the subscriber is located, indeed i need to get CSI parameter which should contain the GT of IN, i have some questions:-does the CSI parameter is always returned by invoking the MAP-SRIv3 request?-CSI parameter is stored on HLR?-should HLR send providesubscriberinfo after receiving SRI request?-if the mobile is switch off, do we receive the SRI-Ack with CSI parameters? Thanks in advancekamal

the SRI is sent from GMSC

the SRI is sent from GMSC toward HLR to get the location of called number( VMSC) and MSRN. Then HLR send PRN to related VMSC, to get the MSRN. the SRI-ack include VMSC and MSRN info.The CSI is stored at HLR. They're several CSI : O-CSI , T-CSI, VT-CSI. The PSI can be sent from HLR anytime. the information will be received include : the location of MS, IMEI.

HI Kamal,To make sure the MAP

HI Kamal,To make sure the MAP V3 is applied correctly in your HLR and GMSC, you can try to perform location update and capturing some trace.the CSI should be sent on Insert Subscriber Data ( ISD) operation.

In the SRI operation, the GT

In the SRI operation, the GT of GMSC will be sent ( act as calling party ), the MSISDN number and GT of HLR(called party).for complete parameter in SRI you can refer to following document from 3GPP : http://uploading.com/files/2cef9278/3GPP%2Babout%2BMAP.zip/see the part : 10.1 MAP_SEND_ROUTING_INFORMATION service

 but for MAPv3 SRI, the GMSC

 but for MAPv3 SRI, the GMSC adress is a mandatory parameter which means that my application should fill it during the request toward the HLR, right now i fill it by my own GT (GT of calling party ex GMSC), i don't know if it's correct or should be filled by VMSC or something else! do you have an idea?

Hi Kamal,As i know the SRI doesn't involve VMSC. BTW do you include the CAMEL phase supported by GMSC in the SRI parameter? this is mandatory.
