What is the difference between SCCP and by MTP3

anyone know the sinificant difference between SCCP and by MTP. Why dont we modify MTP instead of adding SCCP layer to meet new requirements. I am very confuse about it. Thanks for help.

MTP is based on SPC routings, what if another network node's need to communicate with any of your network node(inter-Network communication). Definately you won't expose SPC of your network, here SCCP comes in scene. SCCP will hide all of your SPC and yet allows access to them, precisely its a wrapper over MTP3.
Moreover it also facilitate sub-system access within same node.
