which better SRI or ATI ATSI at MAP

hi *,

would you suggest me, which is the best to get subcriber information from HLR ? SRI or ATI ATSI ?  ???

and which the best way to connect to HLR ?

Hi,

  you can use ATI (Any time interrogation) when you need to obtain the subscriber cell ID thats what it used for.
and all the subscriber info u can find it in the SRI, but if you need to send these MSG's to the HLR you need to use interface that connected to the MSC or to the HLR direct and using MAP protocol. the interface might be septel cards (dialgoic).

in SRI contain MSISDN of called part...(am i right???)
from HLR to VLR PRN contain IMSI,why its not using MSISDN

The MAP PRN message is sent from the HLR to the MSC serving a mobile for which an incoming call is being processed. The message triggers the MSC to forward an MSRN (Mobile Station Roaming Number) to the GMSC via the HLR. This MSRN is used by the GMSC to route the call to the correct MSC.

I think since the MSC/VLR doesn't deal in MSISDN but in IMSI that's why the HLR sends the PRN request to MSC/VLR using IMSI...[Please check and confirm;though I'm almost sure :) ]
