Hi!!

ESME is sending the following sms "abcd" to the SMSC with the data_coding=1. But when delivered to the mobile handset, it is not able to decode the sms correctly. It decodes "abcd" correctly but not the other characters.
Is the data_coding scheme not correct?? It seems that all the characters that can be represented in 7 bits do not cause a problem.
Please help me.

try with data_coding = 0.. which should the normal value used. If that doesn't work ask carrier to confirm character set in use.. its more than likely that you encoded in latin-1.. some SMSCs use roman-8 and others even expect native GSM mappings.
