hi we are developing SMSC for GSM networks

i would like to know the SMSC role to support multi language SMS

and please let me know the ref documents

For GSM.. 3GPP 23.040 which defines the GSM MAP formats.

2 character sets.. GSM Default (3GPP 23.038) for ASCII-like/Latin-1 messaging and UCS2 (2-octet unicode values.. www.unicode.org) for extended character support (Chinese, Korean, etc)

UCS2 messages are encoded in Big Endian.. higher-octet first with no Byte order marker encoded at start of stream.
