Can anyone please tell me what the acronym LDV stands for in the context of a GSM network?  My GSM network provider says that they have recently switched from using SMSC's to using an "LDV SMS router."

Does that mean all SMS messages I receive on my GSM phone will then be forwarded by the network via one specific number only?  Previously SMS messages were received from a number of different SMSC numbers.

Thanks very much for your help in this matter

From my understanding router is similar to SMSC without store and forward functionality. They just transmit the message to appropriate SMSC depending on some configurable rules.
