USSD Client

I need to develop a USSD Client that will listen USSD Request on specific port and will decipher the USSD content and will do appropriate business implementation.

Can some one help me in locating an API to listen and decipher  USSD Request, USSD Gateway Simulator to simulate the real problem and API document.

Hi,

You can  use the SMPP Open source Logica (in java) to start your development.  But the implementation is subjected to the USSD server vendor specification.

I have used logica SMPP API to develop a listener and client for SMPP Protocol but am not sure that it will work for USSD as well. This is for the reason that logica provides a SMSC Simulator to test the application written on SMPP Protocol but I could not find similar to test application for USSD protocol.

Can someone help me on this regard.

If your target USSD server is Logica, I did successful implement the 1.0 protocol with the Open source API.

Although I have to provide to generic solution, Cuold you share request receiving and deciphering component for USSD Protocol or its API elements used.

Guys i have used the ussd_service_op with the submit_sm on an smpp v3.4 and used it on the smpp client test tool ... but there is no response packet ... if i set the registered_delivery it sends a deliver_sm with the status and no USSD in the service_type ... i would appreciate any help in this regard. And also i would like to know about the timers employed in the USSD over the smpp . There is no clear specification for that in the smpp v3.4 version specification.
