Hi,

I am trying to send SMS to specific port. One J2ME application listening on specific port, egs: 10002. Once it receives SMS, it will display.

I am delivering the SMS thru an SMSC which is supporting SMPP v3.4. Everything is working fine except the source address. I am setting the source address value is "Air2web". When the application receives and displayed as "sms://Air2web:0". I am using UDH for setting the destination port information. Following is the PDU which i am using,

Header:
00000040000000040000000000000004

Mandatory params:
0005004169723277656200000139313934343430313130343 8004000000000000000000C

UDH:
06050427120000

ShortMessage:
48656C6C6F

I need to concentrate any other parameters or any settings required in SMSC? Please help me to sort out this issue.

Thanks & Regards,
Ribai.

I got the answer from one of the J2ME resource.

Basically the J2ME application uses the Alert object for displaying the received SMS and it uses the "sms://:port" protocol. This is the standard one. If the application uses the Message object's getAddress() method, it will return always sms://senderaddress:senderport. To resolve this issue, the application supposed to remove the unneccessary parts/split from the getAddress() method's return value and set the Alert objects title value(setTitle(String)).

Hi,

Have you found the solution ?

I am also developing a smpp client(in C++).

Having problem while sending concatenated sms. Don't know how to ?

you c, for simple text i just put the sms in a text file. e.g. "Hi this is a test SMS"

Now how should i put a concatenated on in place of this test sms.

If you have any idea, pls. help me out.
