difference between connection less and connection oriented in sccp

 In sccp what is the difference between connection less and connection oriented  classes

thyraell
sccp using

sccp using connectionless.connection oriented means before exchanging information, there should be call setup process in the beginning, and call ending (tear down ) at the end., the example of this connection is when you make a phone call.connectionless means there is no need to perform setup or tear down process.

HI Mahi,Sorry i was wrong,

HI Mahi,Sorry i was wrong, SCCP is able to perform connectionless and also connection oriented task.here are the detail : ==================================================================================================The signaling connection control part (SCCP) is used as a supplement to themessage transfer part. It provides additional functions for the transfer of messagesbetween switching centers and between switching centers and other signaling points,such as data banks. From the point of view of the message transfer part the SCCP isa user with its own service indicator. The combination of the SCCP and the messagetransfer part is sometimes called the 'network service part' (NSP).The SCCP provides two types of message transfer:• without logical signaling connection (connectionless)Without logical signaling connection an SCCP user can send single messages toother SCCP users. TCAP uses connection less message exchange.• with logical signaling connection (connection-oriented)A logical signaling connection arises through the mutual exchange of localreferences between the SCCPs in the signaling points of the signaling relation.The messages to the other SCCP user can thus be directly addressed.ISUP (ISS) and BSSAP use this kind of SCCP support.

hi

Thanks for your reply . I am having interview on Monday. i am new to telecom domain. can you please explain the ss7 stack each protocol MTP1-3,SCCP,TCAP,MAP Protocols with one line answer.

These are not very simple

These are not very simple topics. In case you don't have any sources of information about these, you can refer the following.
For MAP:: 3gpp TS 29.002
For TCAP, SCCP and MTP layers you can find in ITU site. ITU-T Q-701 for MTP,
Q-711 for SCCP and Q-771 for TCAP.
