help with Roaming and SCCP GTs

Hi , my name's henry latourrette and I have some questions about network configurations...

You see... I work at the Roaming Engineering area and I receive these ir.24 documents with other operator's network information and updates...

So, here I set their network data at my MSC until Roaming works...

My question is... What do I do with their HLR GTs ???

What I do is set in my MSC/VLR, their Mobile Country Code and Mobile Network code ( That is the IMSI prefix ) to their Mobile Global Title ( their MSISDN prefix )...

then I set their Network Nodes Global Title at my HLR ... ( I don't know why I do this but if I dont do it Roaming just doesn't work - SIMs do not perform Location Update) ...

Ok, Now .... I don't know what to do with their HLR GTs and their SMSC GTs...

Roaming still works without any of these but there are some problems with Calls and SMSs sometimes and I believe it has to do something with these configurations.

I would be grateful if someone can help me with these doubts... thank you in advanced...

Re: help with Roaming and SCCP GTs

Hello hlatourrette,

In case of roaming outbound, when your susbscriber in other network send the location update message from the VPLMN to your network, if your HLR not have the network GT Address of the VPLMN, it can't answer. If you load it, the HLR cand send the insert subscriber data message with the information of your subscriber. You can load all or you can load the Country Code in order that not have to update any new GT address.

you can do the same thing in your MSC.
