How does an ESME application send large messages like pictures,logos/animations to SMSC . i mean whether it sends as a single message or in segmented form.

Some SMSCs will allow the ESME to send a large message using the message_payload TLV.. but this is the exception rather than the norm. Its usually better to go the SAR route and issue generic fragments or better still to encode UDH which all SMSCs will support.
