Hi All,

Currently i will add 1 more smsc with new spc & GT  but why when new smsc send smsreq_req to HLR, it doesn't get any response from HLR.  Roll Eyes is possible having 2 smsc in 1 area Huh
if i have 2 smsc using same HLR.. is HLR create different GT for both smsc or only need 1 GT on HLR side ?

Btw is it possible for me use foreign SPC & GT for new smsc. I mean currently our company devided the service area into 8 Region. Is it possible for me using spc & GT Region B for smsc in Region A. because what i'm understand is in CDMA they have rule "HOME SMSC" so query to local HLR from foreign networks si infers  it's mean  HLR can respond to local nodes only

Many Thanks,

hi Johan

I don't think there should be a problem with what you are trying to do here - it may be a question for your HLR contacts how to configure/define the new MC.

ANSI-41 states "There is only one home MC for each MS-based SME", so foreign SMSREQ is not normally done. (Instead SMPP or equivalent from the foreign element into the home MC and let that MC do the SMSREQ).

But I don't see a problem with segmenting the subscribers on a single HLR across multiple MCs.
