Hello!
I have developed an SMSC application that supports sms to be delivered form one Mobile Station to another. It works fine, when the destination mobile set is ON and the message is succesfully delivered. But if the destination mobile set is switched OFF, the message is not delivered and i save it in a database with the destination MDN. Now, when the destination mobile station is switched ON, it sends a IS41-Notification Request Service Indication message to the SMSC that contains it's IMSI. Now, the problem is how to use this IMSI to get the MDN so that i can send message to this Mobile Station Huh??

        I'll be really grateful.

is it an application or actual SMSC?

..if its an SMSC, then you will be interfacing with an SS7 layer and would have performed the SMS-REQ to resolve the MDN to MIN or IMSI.. at that point, the SMSC should cache the MIN AND/OR IMSI so that depending on what issues the alert.. MSC or HLR, the SMSC will be able to provoke a retry based on matching the message queue to its MDN (HLR-originated alert) or MIN/IMSI (MSC-originated alert)
