Could someone please offer some insight here; I must be missing something...

1)  At what point can the server expire a client Session?  Or, put another way, are client sessions supposed to last indefinitely until they explicitly unbind?  Particularly with mutual binds (e.g., SMAP Server binds back to client as specified by ReturnSession), I am concerned about leaving the session 'open' forever.

2) Related to the above, what should we use that is equivalent to the SMPP EnquireLink?

3) What element corresponds most closely to SMPP's esm_class?

Some of the values for the bit fields of esm_class are implied in the XML used (references to SMAP draft 09b).

For example, bit 6 should be set to 1 if the XML contains a   <UserDataHeader> element (the Body must be xsi:type="ExtendedBody"). If there is no <UserDataHeader> XML element then bit 6 should be 0.

Similarly if bits 2-5 contain the value 0x01, incating a Delivery Receipt, then this corresponds to having the XML format of a Delivery Receipt.

I don't know about the other bits of esm_class, but similar may apply.
