Where can I find an API implementation for SMAP or any other XML-Based SMS protocol?

I'm thinking about creating a gateway between SMAP and other vendor-specific protocols like CIMD, to have a generic layer for some other applications.

I want to implement this as an open source project.
However, I don't know if there is official support for SMAP, granted the lack of responses to the other topics.

Please reply or email me at [email protected] if you have ideas or suggestions on this, or if you want to collaborate. Thanks!

Our ESME client product, SMS-Connect, usings a SMAP based interface.

The internal communications use MSMQ for transporting around documents containing SMAP Operations. The application runs as a Windows Service and binds to multiple SMSC's, acting as an SMAP-SMPP gateway. It is written in Microsoft .NET.

We have not implemented the complete protocol, but one of the components is a .NET API library for handling SMAP. It supports Submit and Deliver operations (sending and receiving messages) and most of the options, e.g. international language support, user data headers, binary messages, etc.

You can see our web site http://www.startcorp.com/ for more information on this product and a free trial download.
